DAP DA BRIDGE : THEN AND NOW

A hydraulic structure built in 1917 with the purpose of preventing saltwater intrusion from the sea up the Perfume River and into the Như Ý River, which affected agricultural production in Hương Thủy and Phú Vang districts.

Đập Đá, a poetic setting, has appeared in numerous films since the 1990s, thanks to its unique view overlooking the confluence of the Perfume River and Mini Clam Islet. The open space, providing a relaxing feeling, has transformed Đập Đá into an indispensable part of the culture and memories of the people of the ancient capital.
