Project Description
Tay Ho Conical Hat
Hue is the ancient capital of Imperial Vietnam, where the Nguyen Lords based their government during their reign over Vietnam between the 17th and 19th century. The city is not only famous for historical sites but also for traditional handicraft villages. Today, escape from the bustling city and the routines of touring, as we venture on a number of immersive experiences involving the history, culture and people of Hue area.
Start with a bicycle ride to the unique Thanh Toan tiled-roofed bridge before continuing on another 4 km to Tay Ho village. Along the way we will have a brief stop at the rice paddy fields, the lotus lake or the ancestral temples. Afterwards we get a hands-on lesson in how to make the iconic conical hats of Tay Ho.
Transfer back to central Hue by car.
