Project Description

Exploring Wet Rice Culture [17 kms biking experience]

Start your day cycling through the rice fields to Thanh Toan village. Upon arrival, meet the farmers on the field and learn about traditional ploughing with a water buffalo. It is a terrific chance to get a glimpse rural cultural life in Vietnam. Continue exploring the countryside, villages and the clans’ shrine houses. Visit the small, yet interactive agricultural museum to get an insight about rice production before hopping on a sampan to go fishing using traditional techniques.

Hang out “like a local” on the intriguing 17th Century tile-roofed bridge before enjoying a home-hosted lunch of Hue cuisine. Then cycle to another local house and join in making and eating traditional Vietnam sticky rice cakes. Admire the countryside as you cycle back to your hotel through peaceful back roads.
