DISCOVER BAO VINH – A LOST ANCIENT TOWN & ENJOY THE RURAL LIFE

Until the 19th century, Bao Vinh ancient town was considered the epicenter of trade in the Dang Trong area. Many Chinese businessmen came to settle here, trading local goods like salt, rice, fish sauce, and seafood. To buy and sell goods, merchant ships also arrived to this trading hub from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and India, as well as European countries.

Venturing back to a simpler time, enjoy a cyclo ride from your hotel to Bao Vinh Ancient Town. The charming character of this town has been influenced by French colonial architecture. Continue this walking tour to the bustling local market and get on a small ferry to cross the Perfume River. From there, a bicycle tour will weave visitors through paddy fields until they reach Thanh Tien Village. The last stop on an exciting day of touring, here visitors learn how to make paper flowers with guidance from the local craftsmen.
