These dishes not only have high nutritional value but also demonstrate sophistication and artistry in their preparation and presentation, symbolizing the luxury and nobility of the royal family.
THE DISHES COMMONLY LISTED IN THE EIGHT VIANDS:
Bird's nest: Bird's nest, a nutritious dish, is considered a symbol of luxury.
Shark fin: Shark fin, meticulously prepared to make soups or stews.
Abalone: A rare type of seafood, often prepared as a steamed or braised dish.
Sea cucumber: Often used to make soup and stew as a tonic.
Fermented Peacock Meat
Hornbill Sausage: A dish made from phoenix meat, a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
Bear paw: Bear meat is stewed or cooked into porridge.
Orangutan Lip
